Alan Domzalski, Supply Chain Innovation Senior Manager, GM

Alan Domzalski is responsible for driving innovation, digitalisation and data analysis in GM’s demand and supply planning and scheduling, leading a team focused on addressing visibility opportunities, tools and collaboration. He is a 12-year GM employee with a background spanning industrial engineering, container engineering, logistics, supply planning, supply chain crisis management and most recently innovation.

Alan prides himself on being a data driven, critical problem solver who thrives in ambiguous situations. He has played a key role in aiding several supply chain crises and critical projects, including GM’s navigation of COVID operational shutdown and restart, its ventilator production project and most significantly the semiconductor shortage.

Since those career defining moments, he has shifted his focus to connecting people, information and processes in a way that drives organisational results, leaning into emerging tech. He is a believer – minus some bureaucracy – in the DMAIC process (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control), and as a leader he seeks to instill the same relentless curiosity and innovative disposition in GM’s emerging talent.
