Adam Shumake is an accomplished global operations leader with over 20 years of automotive industry experience across international logistics, manufacturing engineering, global purchasing, and strategic product planning.  

As Senior Manager of Nissan North America’s SCM Compliance department, he advocates for human rights standards within the global supply chain internally and externally. Adam leads NNA’s systems development, the integration of new tools into existing business platforms, and the organization of data in support of supply chain and sourcing compliance.  

This coordination increases visibility to supply chain entities, including suppliers, sub-suppliers, additional factories, and raw material sources. He leads a team of experts from the fields of compliance and data science in the development of these robust solutions. Together, they work cross functionally with engineering, purchasing, external affairs, product development, sustainability, and customs and trade. Adam facilitates the integration of these diverse business needs so that NNA may navigate the complex existing and emerging regulations, vendor technologies, and industry methodologies for state-of-the-art human rights due diligence.
